Hi, I’m Joy Christine Fowler

Pronouns: She/Here

Current Role / Life Focus:  As the founder of Emerald & Oak Wellness, I combine my professional roots in social work and medical care blended into sacred arts like reiki, past life regression, and mediumship to provide a trauma-informed, loving ear for those navigating profound life shifts and ancestral healing.

Connection to the Coven: I am a founding board member who answered a "soul-call" to help build a space where everyone’s inherent magic is seen; I love helping behind the scenes to ensure people feel comfortable and advocated for, but I'm always a smiling face if you need an ice-breaker!

Spiritual Path & Values: My spiritual gifts were catalyzed by a season of severe illness that cracked me open to the "unknowns"—from the whispers of Star Beings and Fae to quantum physics, past lives, the ancestors, and plant communication—fueling my belief that nature is my "church" and everyone is worthy of love in every phase of their cycles of life.

What I Hope to Contribute: I bring a maternal, "grandmotherly" energy—complete with a soft, protective heart and a silly streak—to the board, using my lived experience as a queer, neurodivergent, and disabled human to ensure our growth remains accessible, empathetic, and looking to the bright sides even when things feel stormy.

Community Connections: I am deeply rooted in Northern Michigan’s healing arts, divine feminine, and herbalism circles, as well as advocacy networks for the elderly, disabled, and mental health awareness.

One Thing to Know About Me: I’m happiest when my hands are messy—whether that’s playing in the garden dirt, molding ceramics, or joyfully hauling home a 'trash' treasure to upcycle into a beautiful painting or sculpture.
