Volunteer
Our entire Coven is carried by volunteers—because you are us. Together, we create remarkable community through every act of service: leading a ritual, hanging event notices, supporting a gathering once, designing a webpage, writing content, or coordinating emails. No offering is too small; these often-unseen threads hold our community together. We will help you find a role that fits your gifts and capacity, provide training for anything new, and connect you with people who can support your success.
You are warmly invited to volunteer in whatever way you are willing and able, even if a long-term role is not right for you. If you have time, interest, or a gift you would like to share, reach out to us. Needs shift as our events and community grow; once we know you are interested, we can share current one-time and ongoing ways to help. (We are working on our accessibility statements, but please know we will work to accommodate you however you are able to show up.)

Position Details
Circle of Elders
Reports to: Aquarian Tabernacle Church (ATC)
Supports: All coven positions
Number of People: 3
Skills: Collaborative leadership, sound judgment, facilitation, policy knowledge, clear communication.
Description: These members are vetted by the Aquarian Tabernacle Church (ATC) and both oversee and take legal responsibility for the Coven. They work closely with the other board members to make sure the organization stays true to our spiritual mission. Responsibilities: Presides over and guides board meetings, sets/approves the meeting agenda, act as the official spokespersons of the Coven. Each Elder works with the other 2 Elders. They help with board recruitment and training. Enforce policies and bylaws as needed. If unanimous, they may override board decisions if it is in the best interest of the Coven.
Treasurer (T) Apply

Supports: Fundraising Chair, Welcome Crew, Events Chair, Kitchen Witches, Sacred Space Stewards
Number of People: 2 or 3
Skills: Budgeting, bookkeeping, financial reporting, integrity, confidentiality.
Description: Two to three members serve as Treasurers. Together, they steward the Coven’s resources with care, transparency, and accountability to our donors and community. They prepare financial reports, monitor the budget, maintain sound financial controls, and report to the ATC when needed.
Fundraising Chair (T.1) Apply

Skills: Relationship-building, donor stewardship, communication, event fundraising, follow-through.
Description: This member leads fundraising and donor engagement with gratitude, care, and respect. They help grow a culture of generosity that sustains our shared work and community. This Chair works under the guidance of the Treasurers.
Events Chair (T.2) Apply
Reports to: Treasurer
Supports: Kitchen Witches, Sacred Space Stewards
Number of People: 1 or 2
Skills: Event planning, volunteer coordination, budgeting, logistics, clear communication.
Description: Leads event planning and approval from first idea through clean-up. This Chair ensures roles are filled, budgets are ready, volunteers are supported, and event details are clearly shared with the Coven and wider community. They work closely with the Fundraising Chair and Membership and Community Outreach Chair as needed. The Treasurers directly oversee this Chair.
Sacred Space Stewards (T.2.2) Apply

Skills: Space preparation, cleaning, ritual awareness, teamwork, attention to detail.
Description: Works with the Welcome Crew to cleanse, prepare, and reset the spaces we use for events, celebrations, and rituals.

Description: Helps coordinate compassionate practical and emotional support for members, while connecting people with appropriate professional resources when needed.
Whimsy Crew (E.2.1) Apply

Skills: Working with children, teaching, child-safety awareness, creativity, patience.
Description: Creates caring, engaging, and age-appropriate experiences for children and youth under 18 within our community.
Historian (A.1.1) Apply
Reports to: Governance Chair
Number of People: 1 - 3
Skills: Writing, photography or videography, digital organization, social media, consent awareness.
Description: Preserves and shares our community story through media releases, photo and video documentation, social media, and website updates.
Ritual Crew (A.2.1) Apply

Skills: Ritual facilitation, spiritual care, planning, public speaking, collaboration.
Description: Supports and oversees spiritual rituals, gatherings, and services. Proposed services are brought to the board for approval.

Skills: Organization, minute-taking, written communication, discretion, attention to detail.
Description: This role keeps the Coven’s official records clear, complete, and protected. Responsibilities include taking meeting minutes, sending official notices, and helping the board follow our bylaws and applicable regulations.
Ethics & Accountability Chair (A)
Reports to: Circle of Elders
Supports: Governance Chair, Historian, Membership & Community Outreach Chair, Troll Patrol, Healer Crew, Whimsey Crew
Number of People: 1 or 2
Skills: Ethics, conflict resolution, documentation, discretion, policy development.
Description: Upholds a culture of integrity, accountability, and care. This Chair supports clear policies and procedures, facilitates communication circles to help resolve conflict, maintains incident records, and coordinates appropriate follow-up. The Elders ultimately oversee this Chair.
Welcome Crew (T.1,1) Apply

Description: Acts as a calm, visible support team for community safety. Members help maintain welcoming gatherings, train in conflict resolution, and may support restorative conversations when appropriate..
Membership & Community Outreach Chair (E.2) Apply

Supports: Whimsy Crew
Number of People: 1 or 2
Skills: Community building, welcoming communication, volunteer coordination, recordkeeping, confidentiality.
Description: Nurtures member growth, belonging, and ongoing engagement. This Chair welcomes new members, coordinates opportunities to participate, and helps volunteers understand shared expectations. They maintain membership and volunteer records, including required certifications and background checks.

Description: Maintains board records, supports onboarding of new board members, and helps strengthen governance practices and board accountability. This Chair coordinates required certifications, Clergy-related requirements, background checks, and good standing with the Church.

Description: The Conscious Community Coven follows a five-level Clergy path, with one level for each point of the pentacle. While many traditions use three or fewer levels, our path includes Postulant, First Level, Second Level, Third Level, and Fourth Level / Elder.
Technomancers (E.3) Apply

Description: Works with the other technomancers to work on the website, calendar, discord, and perhaps some assistance with social media and technology.
